A great Atlanta 4th of July tradition is the 10k Peachtree Road Race. There certainly is nothing quite like 55,000 people running down Atlanta's historic Peachtree street. Barbara and my sister Lori both ran it so we were at the corner of Peachtree and 10th as the route turns toward the finish line at Piedmont park. By the time we arrived at our viewing point it was about 9a.m. The race winner had crossed the finish line at about 8 a.m. and as you can see from the slideshow there were still waves and waves of people coming by!
Barbara also took some pics along the race route and at the finish line.
It was a great morning out and I'm proud of both Barbara and Lori. Great job!
