A lesson from Dad, Happy Fathers Day!

A lesson from Dad
Thanks Dad,  Happy Fathers Day!

Dad, Me, Steve

I've learned many lessons from my dad.  Some were lessons the he taught me and some by watching.  This week I caught myself repeating one that he mentioned to me many, many times.

When I was young and doing chores and a less than spectacular job (which would be common for a 10 year old) he would always tell me ...

"Anything worth doing is worth doing well."

I used to think he was such a perfectionist.  I would even joke with him about it sometimes :-).  I realize now that, like any good father, he just wanted me to do well.  He wanted me to do my best! It's a simple but valuable lesson that has served me well all though life. Sometimes I haven't always lived up to it, but most of time it is always in the back of my mind.

"Anything worth doing is worth doing well."

As my kids grow up I am realizing that maybe I haven't expected enough from them or emphasized enough that they really need to always do their best.  Dad is 76 now,  still here, and still trying to teach me new lessons, or help me remember old ones..... because that is what good dads do!

"Anything worth doing is worth doing well."

Thanks Dad
I love you

That could easily be your tagline for your business.

Thanks for sharing.

Bob - that's a lesson we'd all do well learning to live by.  Enjoy your Father's Day.
