Local Real Estate Comments and Ramblings

It's a flyer, it's a sign, flyersign?

Its a sign, its a flyer, its always there!

I got tired of always filling up flyer boxes, owners calling because the box was empty, flyers get all wet, yucky and crinkly, etc. I think I saw this idea on Active Rain and I liked it.  I had the flyer printed on to a sign!.  Now the sign is there 24/7 with no flyers to refill and people don't even have to get out of the car to get more information!

Google it!   Somebody had also posted an idea of putting a sign rider on inviting people to Google the address.   I thought that was great also and incorporated that in with the sign.

Here is the pic and the actual sign.

When I get the signs made I have an extra one made just in case the first one gets lost, stolen, or damaged.  I also get property specific directionals made.  The cost is reasonable and no more wet, soggy or missing flyers.

Great idea ... can the signs be recycled when you are done using them?

They are made of coroplast so the palstic can be recycled.  As far as re using the signs I don't think so.

This idea has merit Bob, thank you!  I think I'm going to merge the two ideas and add Google It! to my flyers next time around!

Vic, Thanks for the comment. If you are posting your listings here on Ar and have good web broadcast, then the listing should come up in several places.  Its easy for buyers to get info and of course the sellers lovve it!

Hi Bob, I saw your comment on today's featured post about flyer boxes.  What size are the signs you use (I've been thinking about doing something like this before but didn't know where to start).  Do you have a local sign company or who actually makes the signs for you?  Thanks!

Hi Judy,

I use signs365.com

I have done them in 2 different sizes.  18x24  and 24x30 I think.  I like the smaller one better.

Ordering from signs 365 you actually buy a 4ft x 8ft piece of coroplast and they cut the signs to whatever size you want.  I usally get two of the property sign and then do some directionals or whatever else I may need or want.

I have plenty of metal stands so I dont order the stands.  Cost to have the signs printed on one side is $40 + $10 shipping.
